A good weekend break is to spend it in London. London is an incredible city and has a wide variety of things to do and places to eat.
I have been to the Shard twice and would go back again - it was a fantastic experience to remember. There are two levels to see, and the views from these two levels are unbelievable. I do recommend going early evening, as there would be great opportunities to take photos of London in the sunset. There is a cocktail bar on one of the levels to enjoy the evening.
I do recommend going on the or to the London Eye. Apart from taking lots of photos when you are on it, the Eye itself is beautiful, especially in the evenings.
Madame Tussaud is a brilliant attraction, especially if you want to be up close to a celebrity in a photo. There is a wide range of actors, actresses, singers, sportsmen, politicians, famous people from around the world, the Royal family, superheroes, and many more. They also tend to have an exhibition, and the last time I went, they had Star War's characters.
I enjoyed the Thamesjet experience. I took a ride on the boat jet through the River Thames. Near Canary Wharf, the ride became a rollercoaster. It was intense, thrilling and exciting. I would recommend this if you are brave enough, and have the energy.
I always enjoy going to the theatre performance. My favourite ones in London are The Lion King and The Play that Goes Wrong - I would recommend seeing these. One day, I would like to see Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.
The London Film Museum was incredible, seeing most of the James Bond vehicles. It was amazing to see all of the gadgets and props they used in the films too. If you are a James Bond fan, then this is a place to go.
There is a wide range of restaurants to eat in London. My favourite two are the Bubba Gump Shrimp and one of the Steakhouses. I do recommend booking in advance, as they do get fully booked quite quickly.
I usually take a train to London and take the underground tube to my destination. This way would avoid getting lost in London and not having to worry about my car. I stayed in a Travelodge, Premier Inn or Airbnb - nothing fancy. There's a lot to do in London that I wouldn't want to hang around in the hotel during the day.
